AAOTR.com

For the Amateur Arabian Horse Exhibitor

HELLO AND WELCOME!

This website was initially launched on November 1, 2000.  It started, more or less, as a whim on my part, and the more I talked about it amongst my peers, the more I heard "do it!"  So I did.

The idea for an "interactive" website for my peers in the Arabian horse industry came from one of my favorite sites, Towerheads (located at www.towerheads.com).  You've got to be a die-hard Hunter/Jumper fanatic to enjoy Towerheads, but the concept is simple.  Ken Kraus, the mastermind behind the Towerheads site, has created a user-friendly site that caters to a very specific set of disciplines.

My hope is to develop AAOTR.com into a forum for my peers in the Arabian horse industry.  While most of us share the common goal of wanting to exhibit our horses to the best of our abilities, it is BECAUSE we own Arabian horses that we find ourselves perusing this site, and wondering what we can get out of it.

What can you/we get out of AAOTR.com?  Whatever we (and I stress the use of WE) put into it.  I want to create a forum where we can (politely) vent our frustrations and broadcast our victories.  I want to stay away from (what I find to be) the bashing and rumor mills that come from chat rooms and message boards.  Basically, I want to build a site that caters to your needs, your desires, and your wishes.  My job is simply that of facilitator.

Let me know what you want.
